ENVISION COMMUNITY HAPPENINGS:  JUNE, 2010

We’re so excited to welcome five new people to our community since our last newsletter. Tim Hummel was the first to move into the new building on Fieldstone Place. He’s settled into #2810 and has decorated his walls with wildlife animals that he’s hunted. His son is a taxidermist so he’s turned them into some great displays. Tim’s hobbies include hunting, obviously, and he also makes fishing poles by hand. Tim teaches HVAC At South East Technical Institute and is looking forward to having the summer off to pursue his hobbies.

I think it’s fabulous!” was Terri Meisen’s reply when asked how she felt about living in Whisper Ridge. She moved into 5400 Cobblestone, #8 the end of March and has had fun decorating her home. She works at TriState Neighbors, an ag related newspaper. She designs ads and does layouts and has been there for 22 years. For fun and relaxation Terri enjoys her family and five sisters. She’s also been taking advantage of the walking trails and rumor has it that she’s got a nice crop of cucumbers growing on her patio. Let’s hope for continued rain and lots of sunshine for a bumper crop!

Just moving into 2815 E Brome are Jane Hannestad and her daughters, Katie who’s 14, and Carly, 12. The girls are very excited about their new home and chose some very unique paint colors for their rooms. Katie will be attending Lincoln High School and Carly will be at Patrick Henry this fall. Jane works in the Human Resources at the city of Sioux Falls. She was born in Minnesota but has been in the area for the past 16 years. Jane’s looking forward to finding something fun to do for relaxation after she gets settled in.

New neighbor Diana Grandgeorge has moved into 5308 Cobblestone #8. She’s been a first grade teacher at Eugene Field Elementary for the past nine years. Having graduated from USF she’s done several summer camps with kids with disabilities, and basketball camps. Four years ago she coached the USF Cougars. Diana has some great plans for customizing her kitchen with a glass tile back splash so be sure to ask her about it when you see her. She’s also added a cabinet in her garage to store all her sports equipment.

You can usually find Jordin Mueller and Brad Edwards riding the motorcycle, taking their Boston Terrier, Sophie, for a walk or playing Wii in their new home at 2814 E Fieldstone. Brad works as the Interactive Director at VVI (Vision Video Interactive,) a marketing agency in town. Before that he was at Paulsen Marketing and also had his own freelance internet design business, for which he still does work. Jordin works as an Account Executive at Paulsen Marketing, another marketing agency in town. Previously, she was in marketing at SDN Communications. They enjoy photography, kayaking, golfing, camping (basically anything outside). Brad is a vegetarian and loves to cook. In exchange, Jordin does the dishes!

14 Sold!  Just closed on a home yesterday and another is scheduled for the end of January. We only have 2 condos left in the first two buildings!  One (2bdrm- 2 1/2 bath) has been reduced to $143, 900 and includes almost $5000 in upgrades. There's a family room on the upper level and solid 6 panel doors and hardwoord floors on the main level. Check it OUT!  We're using it as a model right now and the guys say I have to move all the furniture BY MYSELF if it sells within a week. I'd be glad to!!

The snow and ice have slowed construction on the next 8 units but we're still expecting to start moving people in by the end of March. There's plenty of time to pick your home, all the features AND get the homebuyer's credit.

Speaking of snow and ice, I've had enough for awhile and I'm heading to sunny AZ this weekend.  Brian and the rest of the crew will still be around so stop out at Whisper Ridge and see what's happening!
